Cramming might help you get by on a single test, but it won’t help you gain knowledge you’ll need for future advanced courses or your career.

Cramming involves reviewing large amounts of material hours before a test, but a test-taker’s attention span and concentration level drops off drastically after a short period of studying. All-nighters go hand-in-hand with cramming, and it’s this sleep deprivation that causes memory loss, and stress that can severely ruin your test scores. As a result, you won’t be able to remember a majority of the information you studied. Cramming wastes time, so one would be better off by just studying.
